Indie Folk Artist, Island Moons, Brings New Sound to Triangle Area

Island Moons is the artistic name of singer-songwriter Brandon Harwood. A musician for over two decades, Harwood began seriously recording his music during the quiet of the 2021 COVID-19 pandemic in New York City. He has since relocated to Chapel Hill, NC, and has released several singles, including "Can You See the Future?", "Hopes and Dreams," and "Slumber Sail" in 2023 and in 2024, he released the single "Jupiter on a Key Ring."

Harwood's music is noted for its unique sound, which draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, including The Beatles, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, and Bob Marley. His work is designed to transcend modern genre labels, creating a listening experience that he describes as "taking you somewhere... it has a life of its own."
